About Sydney Region Branch

Our Branch covers the Inner West, The Hills District, Eastern Suburbs, Parramatta, North Shore, Outer West, Northern Beaches, Hawkesbury District, Northern Districts, and Blue Mountains. We also work with other branches on issues of common interest.

Branch members participate in our bushwalking program and take part in special interest groups that cover a wide range of interests:

  • Management of Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park

Sydney Region Conservation Conversations

Connect with NPA members and friends in stimulating conservation talks that celebrate our natural world and inspire new ways to experience our country. Bring along your friends, connect with old friends and make new friends as we learn from the experts and each other.

Environmental Book Club

The NPA environmental book club is a place for members to discuss and gain a deeper understanding of the natural environment. At our friendly gatherings we discuss books with an environmental theme and shares ideas.  We meet from 6-8pm NPA office, Suite 1.07, 55 Miller St, Pyrmont.

Bushwalking 

Our bushwalking program has something for everyone, from short urban walks to overnight wilderness experiences. Explore NSW with like-minded people from around the state and see all of the amazing natural places it has to offer. See http://bushwalk.npansw.org.au/.

Bush Regeneration Walk

Join Conny Harris for a Bush Regeneration Walk in the Narrabeen Lagoon Catchment. Specifics will be advised closer to the date.

Urban Bushland 

If you are interested in seeing an increase in urban bushland, please come along to a Special Interest Group kick-off meeting to explore what we might do to achieve this.

Marine Conservation: 

Marine parks share the same essential purpose as our national parks, nature reserves and regional parks- to safeguard our most powerful legacy to future generations, a diverse, sustainable and resilient environment. Our marine conservation special interest group will be spreading the work about the benefits of protecting a healthy marine environment.
